The University of Kentucky Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) is a network of campus and community stakeholders who oversee UK’s economic development and business engagement activities. The mission of the EDC is to proactively grow economic prosperity in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the areas of talent, innovation, place, partnership, and equitable economic development.

UK Economic Development Collaborative to host 'State of the EDC' Dec. 14

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 6, 2023) — The University of Kentucky Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) will host its fourth annual State of the EDC from 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, in Woodward Hall (Room 307) in the Gatton College of Business and Economics. The event will also be livestreamed here.

Groundbreaking ceremony held for UK Health Education Building

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 27, 2023) — A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Friday for the largest academic building in the history of the University of Kentucky. At over 500,000 square feet, the new Health Education Building will house programs in the colleges of Medicine, Public Health, Health Sciences and Nursing as well as the Center for Interprofessional and Community Health Education.

UK named an Innovation & Economic Prosperity University by APLU

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 28, 2023) — In recognition of its strong commitment to economic engagement, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), one of the nation’s top higher education associations, has designated the University of Kentucky as an Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) University.
